The phrase “it’s the small things that matter” holds extremely true in photography. If you see a breathtaking sunset, it might be just a small part of your day, but why not take a picture so that you can remember the awe you felt when you saw it? Or if you’re at a family party and everyone’s having a good time, it might be a good idea to snap a shot of all the smiles and laughter. Again, a small moment in life, but quite meaningful. Maybe you’re a parent who wants to keep a log of you child’s life- both big and small moments. These photographs or videos also makes for great memories to share and pass on to other loved ones!

For starters, being in the camera space lets you meet other professionals and hobbyists. There’s a community for everything, and photography is no different. It doesn’t just end there, however. As a photographer, you also get to meet a variety of people when you shoot- whether it’s the model you’re taking pictures of or others on set. It’s an endless stream of people to create new memories with, and so many stories and perspectives to learn from.
